Links House at Royal Dornoch

Your Luxury stay at Links House

Links House at Royal Dornoch is one of the Scotland’s most northerly luxury stays, offering an elegant yet relaxed base on Scotland’s east coast. With views across Royal Dornoch Golf Club, exceptional food, and a welcoming Highland atmosphere, it is a standout place to stay for golfers, couples, and NC500 road trippers.

If you are looking for a refined but unpretentious luxury stay in the Scottish Highlands, Links House offers the perfect place to be.

As far as luxury stays in Scotland go, this is one of the best.

The Stay

From the moment you arrive, Links House feels personal. This is not a large hotel, but a beautifully run luxury house where service is warm, attentive, and genuinely relaxed.

Rooms and suites are beautifully styled, combining traditional character with modern comfort. Many look directly out over the famous Links fairways of Royal Dornoch, making it easy to enjoy the setting. Whether you are staying for a golfing break, a longer Highland escape or as part of the NC500 road trip, it is the great start to any trip

Food at Links House

Dining at Links House is a highlight. The award winning restaurant focuses on high-quality, seasonal produce and thoughtful cooking rather than unnecessary theatrics. It is refined without feeling formal, making it just as suitable for a celebratory dinner as a relaxed evening after a day on the links or on your journey along the North Coast 500.

This is a place where many guests choose to eat in rather than head elsewhere, which says everything about the quality of the experience.

A great stop on the North Coast 500

For those driving the famous North Coast 500, Links House makes an excellent east-coast highlight and stay. It works particularly well as a first or final night on the route, offering comfort before or after your days on the road. I personally, would suggest starting in Inverness and heading up the East Coast with a first night stay in Dornoch.

Its location north of Inverness makes it easy to include, while still feeling like a special destination rather than just a convenient stop on your Scottish road trip.
